World Book Day- 5th March 2026

Thursday 5th March is World Book Day!

Your child should have already come home with a book token in their bag to celebrate World Book Day and we will be working on Reading for Pleasure tasks throughout the school day.

Why not spend some time Reading for Pleasure at home, too? #WorldBookDay #ReadingSchools

*Please note, no 'dressing up' is required on this day in line with our Cost of the School Day Policy.

All classes will also take part in our annual 'River of Reading' activity and all P1s and P2s will visit Lanark Library in the same week.

We will also be offering the World Book Day themed menu:

Blue meal – Cloudy with a chance of Chicken- Breaded chicken grill with chips

Red meal – The Day my Fajitas got Famous- Veg Fajitas

(The day my school got famous, Jen Carney )

Green meal – The Wild Tuna Pasta Salad- Tuna Pasta Salad

All served with a Neverending selection of vegetables- Sweetcorn and salad bar

Dessert – Marble Cake in Space- Chocolate & Plain marble sponge cake
