WELCOME TO LANARK PRIMARY SCHOOL ONLINE

End of Session 2024-25

It’s hard to believe that another session at Lanark Primary School & ELC has come to a close. As I wrap up my tenth year as Head Teacher, I continue to be inspired by the achievements of our learners, the commitment of our staff, and the steadfast support from our parents and carers.

I am immensely proud of our children, who show remarkable resilience, dedication, and a genuine love of learning. It remains a true privilege to lead such a busy and nurturing school and ELC community.

I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to Miss Elkin for her tireless work and continued support, and to Mrs Hayes for the same, particularly when stepping into the role of Acting DHT so seamlessly. Thank you also to Mrs Dunlop for her efforts as Acting PT, and to our exceptional team of teaching staff. A special thanks to Mrs Brown and our fantastic support staff, to Mrs Lyons and the outstanding ELC team, and to our dedicated facilities staff – your hard work ensures our children have the very best experiences every day.

To our wonderful Primary 7 pupils – we wish you the very best as you embark on the next exciting chapter in your journey. We look forward to hearing all about your future successes!

We also extend our best wishes to Miss Monk and Miss Robertson as they move on after the summer. Thank you both for your dedication to our children, school, and ELC – we hope to see you back as part of #TeamLPS in the future. Additionally, we bid farewell to Miss Morris, who will be moving on to support another school in our learning community – we’ll miss you and thank you for everything.

Congratulations and warm wishes go to Mrs Snow as she retires after six wonderful years with us. You’ll be greatly missed by both staff and pupils, and we hope you enjoy a very happy and well-earned early retirement!

Finally, a sincere thank you to our fantastic Parent Council, with special recognition to Mrs Helen Logan, who is stepping down as Chair – your leadership and support have been truly appreciated. We also thank Mrs Kimberley Philip as she leaves her role as PC Secretary. We are grateful to you both for everything you’ve done for our school and ELC.

Wishing you all a relaxing and sunny summer holiday!

With best wishes,

Mrs Farah Crook

Head Teacher
