WELCOME TO LANARK PRIMARY SCHOOL ONLINE

Fundraising and financial support from the Parent Council

A message from the Parent Council:

Throughout the year the Parent Council is involved in fundraising for LPS and ELC. Over the last couple of years, with the impact of Covid-19, the nature of our fundraising has changed due to restrictions, with several of our usual events unable to go ahead. The Parent Council worked hard to transition to fundraising activities online to ensure in line with Covid restrictions and to continue our support.

During session 2021/22 £1,409 was raised after deductions through Lucky Numbers and online Summer and Christmas Raffles. We were also kindly supported by donations through local businesses and the school community. This allowed the Parent Council to donate a total of £1,280 to the school, including school ties for each nursery child starting P1 and P7 leavers, £2 per head contribution toward the cost of attending the Pantomime, School App licence costs to communicate school information and a contribution to the hardship fund.

We have now made an additional contribution of over £700 to equip each classroom with a visualiser (a mounted camera that displays an image of whatever is under it onto the smart board so that the whole class can see). This will help support the use of ICT to enhance learning in the classroom.

Further details of next sessions planned meetings and support of the school/ELC will be shared in our annual newsletter.

Many thanks once again for your support!
