We now include a standing item in each month’s newsletter, detailing some of our School Improvement Work. This month, we are detailing some of our current and future work for Developing the Young Workforce (DYW). In order to support Skills for Work and increase coverage of the Technology Curriculum, we have:
- Created a Skills for Work progression framework to be implemented for Early, First and Second Level
- Implemented the Skills for Work progression planner which includes identified Technology experiences and outcomes.
We have now been asked to pilot materials developed by South Lanarkshire Council in the final term, alongside Lanark Grammar School. This provides a further opportunity to work in partnership with our feeder secondary school to develop common approaches to implementing DYW and we look forward to working with them.
