WELCOME TO LANARK PRIMARY SCHOOL ONLINE

Google Classroom - Homework Access Guide

As mentioned in September’s newsletter, we have now begun to issue the Homework/Online Learning Packs to children. These include each child’s log-in details and a guide to all things Google Classroom and Glow!

All weekly Homework tasks will be shared in the classroom, however, it is important to note that not all tasks will require online completion e.g. Reading, Big Maths Learn Its, Spelling work in jotters etc.

We have made this decision for a number of reasons:

  • Resources coming to and from home to school have to be minimised wherever possible.
  • There is an assumption that children will be able to access their learning online in the event of a teacher/ child needing to self-isolate.
  • With the use of Communication/Homework diaries on hold, this online platform will provide a way of teachers and parents/carers being able to comment on learning tasks.

We have issued the packs to P1-P3 today as some families will be new to this platform.
The remaining packs (with up-to-date login details) will be issued to P4-P7 on Monday 5th October.

You can find an electronic copy to the guide here:

Please note: the paper copy of The Talk Homework grid in the P1-3 folder has an October break date included in it, the revised version will be issued on Monday for these classes. However, the copy on Google Classroom has the correct dates included.

All help information is in the folder, please keep these resources together in a safe place.
