WELCOME TO LANARK PRIMARY SCHOOL ONLINE

Latest App Message - 13/09

On looking at the very fast changing picture of infection control in Lanarkshire,  it is obvious that a rise in positive cases has had an impact on how we go about our daily lives, work and schooling.  Therefore,  in order to ensure as little disruption as possible, all staff at gates will now wear masks, including any teachers bringing out their class lines (younger classes). Please discuss this with your child/ren so that they are prepared for this, although it will be something they have been becoming accustomed to. We advise parents/carers to also consider wearing masks/face coverings if possible and continue to ensure 2m distancing at every gate.

Since August, 100% of suspected cases for those with links to our school/ELC have been negative, but we will continue to do everything possible to play our part in helping this to remain the case.

For parents/ carers, this means continuing to follow guidance/advice as appropriate, including sending children through their allocated gate as quickly as possible after arrival and reducing any 'wait time' at gates on dropping off or after collection. Please all ensure that staff/children have been informed in plenty time if there are any changes to pick up arrangements as due to supervising numerous gates at one time, there is often no one in the office at 9am/3pm.

If  your child travels to and from school independently, please ensure that they know your family arrangements in case of an emergency.  If your child is cycling to and from school, please check that they are wearing their cycle helmets in order to ensure all safety considerations have been taken.

As always, we will work together to ensure we 'take care and stay safe ❤' and do everything possible to ensure that our children, staff, families and whole school community remain safe, healthy and happy.
