WELCOME TO LANARK PRIMARY SCHOOL ONLINE

PE and Outdoor Learning days

As mentioned in previous communications, all Physical Education should take place outdoors at the moment. You can find out more about Education Scotland’s current guidance here:
Education Scotland- Physical Education

Please find below your child’s PE and Outdoor Learning Days. On these days, learners should come dressed for physical activity. A school t-shirt, sweatshirt and joggers/leggings will be fine, or ‘sportswear’ can be worn as long as these are our school colours of black, red and/or white. This is a safety measure to ensure that we can still easily distinguish Lanark PS pupils. Trainers should be worn on PE days, and appropriate footwear for the woodlands on Outdoor Learning days.

Room Stage(s) PE Days Outdoor Learning Days
Room 1 P1 Tuesday and Wednesday Friday
Room 2 P2 Tuesday and Thursday Wednesday
Room 3 P3/2 Wednesday and Thursday Monday
Room 4 P3 Monday and Friday Tuesday
Room 5 P4 Tuesday and Friday Wednesday
Room 6 P5 Monday and Wednesday Thursday
Room 7 P6/5 Wednesday and Friday Monday
Room 8 P6 Tuesday and Thursday Friday
Room 9 P7/6 Monday and Wednesday Thursday
Room 10 P7 Tuesday and Friday Tuesday

Please ensure that children have what is needed for the weather forecast on these days (e.g. waterproof jacket, an extra layer, sun cream and sun hat- wishful thinking?)

Physical Activity outdoors has now started and children will be accessing the playground, MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) and Woodlands as appropriate.
