VIPs- We will be celebrating our children’s achievements by continuing with the Christmas VIP (Very Important People) Award. Every day from now until Christmas, two or three children from each class will be VIPs for the day and will be treated to a special table with Christmas treats at lunchtime. They will be first into the canteen at lunchtime whether they are packed lunch or school dinner and sit at tables decorated for Christmas. Each child will receive a small treat to enjoy.
Christmas Lunch- Lunch will be served in the canteen on Wednesday 11th December and the menus have already been distributed to the children.
Parties-Please take note of the dates for parties at the end of this newsletter. The parties all take place in the afternoon (P7s after school) and a special visitor will come to the ELC and P1 and 2 parties. School children who are getting ready at home can leave/be collected at 12noon this year and should return for 1pm.
Pantomimes -School children will visit Lanark Memorial Hall on Tuesday 11th December and I’m sure the children will have a fantastic time! We will provide children with a snack and drink for this and as already stated, the Parent Council are funding the tickets- thank you!
Our ELC children have already visited Gouldings to see Santa, where they showed our values of good manners and respect throughout the trip- well done! Again, thank you to the Parent Council for donating funds towards this outing.
Nativity- Our P1s and P2s showcased their talents with their performances of ‘Everyone Loves a Baby’, this week. All the children were fantastic, and we are all so proud of them!
ELC Christmas Concerts- The ELC Christmas Celebrations will take place on Wednesday 11th December at 10.30am and 1.30pm.
Christmas Jumper Day Friday 20th December- Please remember if you have any old Christmas jumpers that may be of use to someone else, please feel free to hand these into the office. You or your child can collect a Christmas jumper from the foyer anytime from Monday 9th December.
