WELCOME TO LANARK PRIMARY SCHOOL ONLINE

Cost Of The School Day

We know that those disadvantaged through poverty often struggle with living costs. This affects members from across our community. In order to support our children and you as parents/carers, we will now include the ‘Cost of the School Day’ as an item on each month’s newsletter. We will use this opportunity to share the range of support which is available to you.

This month, we would like to draw your attention to the free sanitary wear which is available in the school as part of the work to reduce Period Poverty. Products are readily available in the school and extras can be picked up from the office for weekends and holidays. This is done in a discreet, confidential way so please come in if you would benefit from access to these free products.

As you may already know, the Parent Council support the school in many ways. One of those ways is to provide a small discretionary fund which can be used to support the purchase of clothing, cost of trips or to help provide snacks in times of financial difficulty.

The school can also provide clothing and uniform if needed. Please contact me at the school if you would like to know more. As always, this would be in the strictest confidence.
