WELCOME TO LANARK PRIMARY SCHOOL ONLINE

Staffing & Baby News

It's all change for Mrs Sukkoed in Room 10 in the new year! We are delighted to announce that along with husband Beer and daughter Nora, they will be expecting their second child at the end of April.

If this wasn't exciting enough, it is with a mixture of emotions that we say congratulations to Mrs Sukkoed, who was successful at interview in securing the Principal Teacher post at New Lanark PS. We are sad to see Mrs Sukkoed go as she has played a big part in the success of #TeamLPS. Her hard work and commitment has paid off in securing this promotion and I am sure you will agree that it is well deserved! We are pleased that she will remain a member of Lanark Learning Community, so won't be a stranger!

We're sure you will all join us in congratulating Mrs Sukkoed on all her exciting news and wishing her every success in the future.

We will let Room 10 parents and carers know when we have a date for Mrs Sukkoed's departure, and who will be replacing her. Rest assured that we will have a strong transition process in place to ensure a smooth changeover.

More exciting news! It's a 'Baby Boom' here at Lanark Primary School. Mrs McLeod in Room 6, alongside husband Douglas and children Katherine and Michael, will be expecting their third child in March next year. Congratulations to the whole family- so exciting! Mrs McLeod will be starting her maternity leave after Christmas and we wish her all the very best!

We have been very lucky in securing Miss MacLeod to cover Mrs McLeod's days, who knows the school well and already works in Room 4.

Again, we're sure you will join us in congratulating Mrs McLeod and wishing her all the best!

In our ELC, Mrs Logan's 'Fixed Term' cover, Mrs McKay, has now completed all recruitment and reference checks. We are hoping that she will start with us just before the Christmas break. We are hoping to keep hold of Miss Jamieson until 23rd December and would like to take this opportunity to thank her for all her hard work and for becoming part of the ELC Team so quickly and wish her all the best!
